In the latest installment of Peter Roby's blog, the Northeastern athletic director touches on the University's roll in hosting Stand Up 2011--the nation's largest anti-bullying event--at Matthews Arena on Dec. 13. He also provides viewers with an update on the $2,000 stipend legislation recently approved by the Division I Board of Directors. In response to a viewer question, Roby discusses what the department does with money raised for athletics and how private support enhances the student-athlete experience. And, he takes time to acknowledge friend and predecessor Dave O'Brien, who served as Northeastern's director of athletics from 2002 to 2007.
