A Weekly Video Blog for Northeastern University's Director of Athletics, Peter Roby.
Friday, November 11, 2011
In this video blog, Northeastern University Director of Athletics Peter Roby discusses the state of current affairs in college athletics. Roby provides his thoughts on the developing situation at Penn State, including some initial lessons that might be learned by those in athletic departments across the country. He also provides some insight into the NCAA structure and NCAA reform. Specifically, he talks about the NCAA Board of Director's recent decision to approve legislation that permits a $2,000 stipend to student-athletes who are awarded full athletic scholarships. This video is the first in what is planned to be a weekly series.
